How long will it take to process my membership? New Memberships: Please allow 7 days for memberships to be processed and a username to be set up to access the Member's Area of the website. We will email you to confirm once your membership has been approved. Re-accreditations: Please allow 1 month for re-accreditations to be processed and a certificate emailed out to you.
Can I become accredited if I am a KSA applicant or if I don't have a core profession? No - BUT you can apply to become a REGISTERED Organisation Member. On successful completion of a training course led by an IPT UK trainer, you can apply to become an Organisation Member eligible to practice as long as you are employed by the NHS or third sector. How do I update my personal details and CPD log on your system? Please log into www.joinit.org and update your membership form accordingly. You can find step by step instructions by clicking here.
Can I set up direct debit to pay for my membership? IPT UK are unable to process memberships via monthly direct debit, however you can set up automatic yearly rebilling via your JoinIt account.
Can you provide receipts for membership payments? Members are able to log into JoinIt at any time and download receipts for their payments.
How do I upgrade my membership from Trainee Member to Basic Member/Member Plus? Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and our Administrators will process this for you and advise you with regards to the next steps of accreditation.
How do I renew my Membership? Members will receive a reminder email from JoinIt one month before your re-accreditation is due. Members must log into JoinIt and update their membership form accordingly, paying particular attention to questions about CPD. Members may be required to make payment at this time if they have not set up automatic re-billing. Membership renewal applications that have not been updated within 1 month of the re-accreditation date will not be processed. In this instance your membership would be cancelled. Membership fees will be refunded (if they were paid for automatically).
I allowed my membership to lapse, how to do I re-sign up as an IPT UK member? This depends on the length of time that you have not been registered with IPT UK and if you have kept up to date with CPD requirements. Please visit our "Register as a Member" for specific guidance.
How much CPD do I have to complete in a year? Members must complete a minimum of 20 hours of facilitated and self-directed CPD per year. This must include attendance at a minimum of one-half day facilitated IPT CPD. Time in supervision will be credited towards meeting the required standard of 20 hours of CPD activity per year.
