IPT UK’s Safeguarding Guidance At IPT UK, we are committed to the highest standards of client safety and care. Our comprehensive guidance outlines members’ responsibilities in safeguarding adults, children and young people, prioritising well-being and protection at every step.
All members are expected to be familiar with IPT UK’s safeguarding policies as well as those of any organisation or agency they work with. There are local safeguarding boards (SSCB) that members in private practice should become familiar with to ensure comprehensive protection for all. It is each members responsibility to ensure that they are compliant.

The guidance empowers members to embed a strong duty of care within their clinical practice, upholding best practices in safeguarding. It also offers essential advice and support for identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns.
