The IPT UK National Meeting on Friday 13th May began with a welcome from our Chair, Liz Robinson. Deputy Executive Chair, Julia Fox-Clinch then had the pleasure of introducing newly elected Exec Chair, Ellen Heralall. We heard from Ellen about how excited she is to take over this role from interim Exec Chair, Liz Robinson, and then TC Deputy Chair, Debbie Woodward gave us an update on what is happening with IPT UK training and accreditation. The biggest project this past year has been the development of a Route C pathway to becoming a registered/accredited IPT UK member. Yvonne Hemmings and Ros Law gave an informative and interesting over view of the IPT UK anti-racism strategy. After a short break, there was an update from Fiona Duffy with regards to research, and then Yvonne and Ros gave a presentation on IAPT. In the past year, IPT UK has established 3 special interest groups. Ben Santer heads up the Autism on and he told us all about the work they have begun in their meetings. Alicia Clarke heads up the Race & Culture SIG and she gave an informative overview of the great sessions held this year so far. The third SIG is the Perinatal one, and we were thrilled to welcome Angela Wood and Kirstie Phipps to deliver the CPD event. Together they took us through an emotional and informative session on IPT in the perinatal world.
