Date tbc - Working with self harm in IPT & adaptations to the IPT frame for other disorders
This training day will provide an overview of adaptations to the IPT frame when working with other disorders. It will consider these adaptations and bring together ideas for adapting IPT practice when working with complex cases. The second half of the day will focus on adapting IPT-A when deliberate self harm is a major part of the clinical picture.
Date tbc - Revisiting Attachment Theory and its Application to IPT practice
This training day will assume a basic knowledge of attachment theory. It will provide a very brief overview of Attachment Theory, but will focus predominantly on its application to IPT practice with adolescents and adults. The second half of the day will allow opportunity for role play practice - adapting treatment strategies in light of a client's attachment needs.
Date tbc - An Introduction to Family Based IPT
This full day event will provide an introduction to the IPT model adapted for younger children (under 13) and their families. It is based on the manual and teachings of Dr Laura Dietz.
