IPC is an adaptation of IPT with three main differences: the treatment duration is shorter (3-6 sessions); it is designed for clients with mild depression; or distress and it can be delivered by mental health as well as by non-mental health professionals after participation in a brief (two day) training course. Since its original development it has been delivered in a variety of settings including more complex presentations and more severe depression.

The training consists of mixture of didactic teaching, demonstrations of relevant competencies via roleplay, video materials as well as discussions in the breakup groups. During this training you will learn all the strategies relevant to delivery of IPC and you will have an opportunity to see some examples as well as opportunity to practice these strategies.
