The five-day training aims to develop advanced skills in group and individual supervision of IPT practice. The course aims to:
Provide participants with advanced knowledge and theoretical understanding of IPT
Provide a competency based format for self assessment and clinical supervision.
Extend the knowledge and skills of qualified IPT practitioners in the clinical application of IPT across all focal areas and a range of clinical presentations
Consolidate IPT practitioner skills and develop knowledge and understanding of the skills required to supervise in a peer and accreditation setting.
Application Process & Eligibility Please see below for the application details and forms. Please note applicants need to submit in one email to ipt@annafreud.org with the following documents by 14th August and 5th September 2023 respectively.
• Application form • A recommendation and competency evaluation from an accredited IPT/IPT-A supervisor supporting advanced training to supervisor level • A statement of support from line manager confirming protected time for training and supervision and access to the required IT equipment and facilities (unless training and supervision will be completed in the applicant's personal time) • Form 4/ Summary of competency ratings on practitioner training cases • Form 5/ Summary of casework completed during practitioner training • RTRs or Case reports completed as part of practitioner training • Proof of current professional registration or accreditation in addition to IPTUK e.g., with BABCP, HCPC, BACP • Confirmation of completing IPT/IPT-A practitioner training and current accreditation with IPTUK • Availability to attend all training days and complete two cases of IPT/IPT-A under supervision
